  • Furlough Closure: To comply with the Governor's furlough order, the California State Library will close its offices and public service desks in Sacramento and San Francisco the first three Fridays of each month, from August 2009 through June 2010.     Full information services for the State Library are available at Library & Courts Building II, 900 N Street, during renovation of the Stanley Mosk Library and Courts Building.
    Information Services, Government Publications, and the Law Library are now located inside the Braille & Talking Book Library on the first floor at 900 N Street. Online resources and frequently-used print resources are readily available; other materials may need to be paged from offsite. The California History Room continues to provide history and genealogy information services in Room 200 on the second floor.
